One of my first Florida home portrait commissions.

This was a fun commission.  Again, hoping to accurately interpret the vastness and charm of the South West.

I happen to love this image.  The photograph was taken from a large view camera. I know that because, while I was painting, I discovered the reflection of the cameraman, his assistant and the camera in the plate glass window.  That reflection is very noticeable in the painting.

In this commission, I was most drawn to the beautiful stone fence, the charm of which I hopefully interpreted accurately.

This panoramic view (about 150 degree span) encompasses the historic part of the city, which dates to the very early 1800’s. The “High Falls” appear on the left and Kodak’s offices are in the right back grown.

This was a commission for a local Dairy, and gave me a chance to experiment with my bird’s eye view approach.  

This waterfall is situated in the heart of Rochester NY.  The water from the Genesee River powered many flower mills which lined the river, and which was then sent to New York City via the Erie Canal. That canal put Rochester on the map and greatly enhanced the City of New York as well. From […]

This is an historic little lighthouse which protected Charlotte’s harbor, near Rochester.  I’ve shown it from both it’s shady side (#1) and it’s sunny side (#2).

This image is a cropped version of “Seabreeze” and highlights the activity at the eateries which face Lake Ontario.
